While there will be several modeling magazines at the convention giving you the opportunity to have your models grace their pages and get national attention, this year you will also have the chance to get pictures of your work that you can keep. Kevin Epling from Small Scale Pics will be bringing his cameras and backdrops to give you some astounding images you can keep.
Kevin spent 30 years helping create Michigan State University's visual identity and received several awards for that work. Now his goal is simple: take all those years of experience in lighting/composition/storytelling, and shrink it down to a much smaller scale, and share the fun with others.
In Kevin's words:
During the 2026 IPMS Conference in Fort Wayne, I will be offering custom onsite photography of attendees' models. Time slots are first come, first served. Once the slots book up, that is all the availability for the show.
As a visual artist I will be combining the model with digital backdrops, practical props, specialized lighting and practical effects to create a work of art worthy of the work that was put into the model itself.
Final images are suitable for printing in various formats and will be sent out after the conference has finished.

Booking a Time:
Once a slot is booked, I will email the sender with additional information and a short questionnaire. The purpose of the questionnaire is to get a better sense of what type of model and what possible environments (both 2D and 3D) could be used for the final photograph. In a sense, it helps to create a unique personalized image of that model.
Time slots are roughly every 20 minutes to allow time between for resetting the stage. The attendee will bring the model to the stage area and, based upon prior information, we can set up the model with the appropriate background. Once the image is achieved, the attendee will remove the model from the stage.
Attendees are allowed to cancel 5 days prior to their appointment. No shows will be charged the full amount.
