The Fort Wayne TinCaps is a minor league baseball team that plays in the Midwest League and serves as the Class A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Renamed the TinCaps in 2009, the team was originally the Fort Wayne Wizards. The new name drew inspiration from Johnny Appleseed, a folk hero associated with our region. The TinCaps logo and mascot reflect this heritage, making the franchise a unique and beloved part of our sports culture. Fans enjoy an exciting baseball schedule featuring future Major League talent, family-focused promotions, and themed nights that make every game memorable.

Home games are played at Parkview Field, a state-of-the-art downtown stadium that opened in 2009 and directly across the street from the Grand Wayne Convention Center. The ballpark is widely recognized as one of the premier minor league venues in the country, known for its modern amenities, beautiful design, and lively atmosphere. Parkview Field seats more than 8,000 fans and offers a variety of seating options from traditional grandstands to grassy lawns and private suites. It has contributed to the revitalization of the city’s downtown, becoming a centerpiece for sports and entertainment in the region.
