Tours UPDATED June 22, 2025: Registration for tours ends June 30th!

MAM is a superb collection of over 50 warbirds, from multiple countries, from both World Wars and into the Korean War. In addition to this extensive collection, most in a flying status aviation enthusiast will appreciate the vintage aircraft hangars, a British B-17 control tower, and a growing collection of artifacts.  Because of the museum’s remote location, we will offer a pre-purchased Subway lunch option.

Lunch will consist of a 6 inch (~15 cm) sub sandwich (Turkey, Ham, Cold Cut Combo, Tuna), chips, cookie and water.  Price is $15.00.  If you prefer, you may “brown bag it” and bring your own lunch.

Price: $50, including admission and round-trip bus transportation.
Add $15.00 if you want your choice of Subway sandwich

The focus of this tour will be the USS Monitor and her artifacts at the world-class Mariners Museum. It will offer a behind the scenes look at the conservation of the recovered artifacts including the turret, engine, and 11-inch Dahlgren cannons. What can be observed more closely will depend on the conservation schedule. Attendees will be divided into two groups.  Each group will:

  • Conservation Lab tour

  • Monitor Center tour

  • Lunch (on-site cafe’) (pay on-site)

  • A lecture on the Worthington Pump working replica built with 3D printing (60 minute with Q & A session)

There will be time for self-guided exploration of the rest of the museum - there is a lot to see. More information can be found at the following link https://www.marinersmuseum.org/
