Guys, lots of churn now as we approach the 90-day mark before the convention. It’s had to believe we’re that close! Registration remains brisk, but there’s still time to get your ticket to the fun at a cheaper rate. Here’s what’s new this week.
Tours
The 2025 Tours have gone up for reservation. Emails have gone out to IPMS members regardless of if you’re already registered for the convention or not. Everyone should have those in your inbox now if you’re an IPMS member (another reason to join if you’re not currently a member).
We have three great tours set up; all include roundtrip transportation. The tours include:
- The USS Monitor Experience at the Mariners Museum
- The Military Aviation Museum
- Hampton Roads Naval Museum Including the USS Wisconsin (BB-64)
Hotels!
If you haven’t made your hotel reservations yet and think it’s too late, you’re in luck!
Although the Embassy Suites is sold out, we still have good capacity at several of our contracted hotels including the Holiday Inn Express, Hyatt Place, Springhill Suites and Red Roof Inn. Some include free breakfast. Most offer free parking. All are within 1 mile or less of the venue and are serviced by a FREE SHUTTLE bus. How’s that for value?
Tunnel to Towers Dinner.
We’re hosting a very special event at the Virginia Air and Space Center to benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T). If you don’t know about T2T, they are an amazing organization that works with the families of our killed and catastrophically wounded Military Service Members and First Responders. They are also doing amazing work to combat veteran homelessness across the country. Please check them out at T2T.org and but a ticket to the BBQ (Food provided by Smoke BBQ in Newport News) when you register for the convention or add your tours.
Trophy Pack Sponsorships
We still need many sponsors for Trophy Packs. At last count there are; 2 “Best of’s,” 3 "Theme" awards, and 175 regular category awards available, Best ofs and Theme awards are $135, and regular category award packs are $85.
